DJ Kent Presents “The Weekent”.


DJ Kent (South Africa) Khensani Mabaso aka DJ Kent not only plays music (SA style ‘house’), but has also established himself as a producer. In 2008 he released his solo debut album, called ‘Mixing Business with Pleasure Reloaded’. The record won him the 2008/2009 SAMA award for ‘best urban dance album’. Kent, who is still in his early twenties, co-owns his record label (88 Productions), which has recently signed two major acts: Diamond Dealer from Bloemfontein and Relo from South Africa’s famous Skwatta camp crew. One of the featured tracks can be sampled below:

Demor Presents “The Real Me”

The producer/beat maker/Song writer / Singer named Thandukwazi Demor Sikhosana was born on July 11 in Mooi River, KZN. Demor Sikhosana then made it to Durban at age 21. Demor studied and qualified for a national diploma in light music at the Durban Institute of Technology. Demor’s early production and beat making was mostly for the then up and coming artists /in Durban and his hometown area. While a student at DUT, Demor met Black Coffee and Shota and formed a production crew and a band called SHANA (Simply Hot And Naturally African) under the guidance of the late Busi Mhlongo who introduced them to the then UK Based record label (Melt 2000). Demor started messing around in the DUT recording studio producing and writing songs for local artists and fellow students such as Swazi Dlamini, Nqubeko Mbatha, Xolisa Gqoli and his newly formed group Shana.
Demor later gained fame by producing hit singles for major South African artists, including Bucie, Thembi Seete, Lebo Mathosa, SHANA, DJ Christos, DJ, s @Work, Miss Kay, Lvovo Derrango, Black coffee, Shota, Zano, Beezory, Mafikizolo & Professor among others.
After dibble dabbling around for a while, Demor moved to Johannesburg and made his first big production collaboration with DJ Christos on various projects. This was a breakthrough for him as other big names started going after him for his skills. Demor Sikhosana alongside DJ Christos and SHANA is often credited with revitalizing the late Lebo Mathosa’s career because of his contributions on the super star’s 2004 masterpiece Drama Queen album. Not only did Demor lace the Keys and beats to Lebo’s ubiquitous album (Drama Queen) was also responsible for the now legendary Afro inspired sound and lyrics that marked the Diva’s come back” Working his magic Demor is responsible for the recording and the success of Mayonie production’s star Lvovo Derrango’s debut album.
In 2007 Demor met up with a young artist named BUCIE and signed her up on his newly formed record label DEMOR MUSIC. He produced and released Bucie’s debut album (Rockstar) where he churned out big hits such as Ngicel’indoda, Turn me on pre-production a collaboration between (Bucie and Black coffee) second album (TURN ME ON) Your Kiss, He is Da man, I need you, Angiyi ndawo, Jungle feat Bongo Riot and many more Bucie Hits. Get over it is a hit track by Bucie produced by Demor that has opened doors for Bucie the world over.
Demor has continually churned out hits for the likes of major South African artists, including Bucie, Professor,LZakes Bantwini,ebo Mathosa, Tira and Big Nuz,Thembi Seete, SHANA, DJ Christos, DJ, s @Work, Thembisile Ntaka, Miss Kay, Lvovo Derrango, Black coffee,Shota. Zano, Beezory, Mafikizolo among others.
Having immensely contributed in the South African music scene it is now the right time for Demor Sikhosana to release his debut solo album titled ‘THE REAL ME’, Demor features a lot of his fellow artists mostly from his City Durban such as DJ Tira, Big Nuz, Bucie, Shota, Proffessor and on production He collaborated with Sun-EL Sithole, DJ Sdoko (Demor Music) Black Coffee.

Molapo “Darque” Malatji at now 21 years old has begun his journey to greatness from the age of 16 as a budding producer and DJ. The love of music comes relative to anyone who is surrounded by quality music, which was awe inspired by locals, when he began playing music for those who required enlightenment.
For a hard-pressed 5 years he put his ear on the ground for only the best music, ranging from jazz to international deep house music. His music has busked major compilations such as Music Box 6 by DJ Terrence, Deepforest Sessions 1 by Jaguarpaw, House Blendz by Dj Malankane and Jungle Fever Vol 1 by Wishingsoul. Now this is his long awaited album REE’s that features artists like Kaylow, Robert Owens, Sun Singleton, Black Coffee, Darryl D’Bonneau and Paul Randolph.

Mi Casa Present “Su Casa”.


Mi Casa is a band with unique individuals who bring their explosive talent together to create a unique and original sound. The band members (Dr Duda-Producer and club dj, J-Something – vocalist and guitarist and Mo-T – Trumpeter) blend their musical talent to create a soulful sound which incorporates soulful vocals, the guitar, keys and the trumpet. The music industry is nothing new to Mi Casa, the band producer Dr.Duda has been in the industry for over fifteen years, producing and DJing alongside the likes of DJ Fresh, Dj Mandla, Dj Mbuso and making hit tracks featuring talented vocalists such as RJ Benjamin, J-Something and Zodwa amongst many others. One of the featured tracks can be sampled below:

Soul Candi’s Cox Presents “Revelation”.

Cox, who has been a producer since 2006, has produced for some of the best musicians in Namibia, including Mr Makoya, Tequila and Kavax, just to name a few. Namibian born artist ‘Cox” delivers a solid album featuring collaborations with “Uncle” and “Qandja”. Big Nuz Presents “Made In Africa”. [EzaseAfro]

The name Big Nuz comes from Big because they are doing big things and NUZ is the license plate of one of the biggest townships in South Africa, Umlazi, situated in the south coast of Durban. Big Nuz consists of 3 guys Mandla Maphumulo aka Mampintsha, Mzi Tshomela aka Danger and Sbu Khomo aka R Mashesha. The group was formed 2002 and they were based in Johannesburg where they hustling moving from one studio to another in search of a record. One of the featured tracks can be sampled below:
